CLIENT LOUNGE
Welcome!
I’m truly honored every time a family invites me into their home. Your time, your energy, your trust, none of that is small, and I treat it with the care it deserves. My goal is to make this whole experience feel easy, relaxed and fun. Most families tell me they’re surprised by how natural it all feels… almost like we’re just hanging out and I happen to have a camera in my hand.
You’ll find everything you need to feel fully prepared below. And if anything is unclear or you just want to check in, send me a message anytime.

YOUR FAMILY SESSION
Your Custom Family Portrait Session
After booking, what happens next? Via e-mail we will discuss location selection, wardrobe selection, and answer any questions you have.
What I love about this kind of session is that it isn’t just a record of what you look like right now, it’s a glimpse of who you are together. My aim is always to capture something true: the warmth, the quirks, the beautiful quiet moments, that make your family yours.
I’m not chasing perfect poses or everyone staring at the camera in unison. I work in a documentary way, using natural light and a lot of sensitivity to create images that feel alive, photographs you’ll want on your walls now, and that your kids might one day show their own kids.
Below are a few tips to help you feel ready before I arrive.
Location:
We’ll choose together. If your home has good natural light, that’s always an excellent option. It’s personal, familiar, and full of the details that help tell your family story. I also have several outdoor places I love, but I’m always up for discovering somewhere new, if you have a favorite place that’s meaningful to you.

Time
If we’re shooting at your home, it’ll depend on where your windows are facing, but late morning usually works well. This is when most homes fill with flattering natural light.
For outdoor sessions, we’ll aim for early morning or evening. Midday sun is gorgeous for picnics, terrible for photos. If your kids can handle it, that golden window one to two hours before sunset is the ideal magic moment.
Timing really does shape the whole look of your images. Many families simply plan a later nap or some quiet downtime before an evening session, and it works beautifully.
Length of the session
My family portrait sessions are usually around 1.5 hours. It can be a bit less or a bit more, depending on the energy, and the number of people.
What to wear
Choose simple, comfortable clothes you feel good in, and that reflect your family’s style. Bare feet on kids are always sweet, and textures (knits, linen, denim) photograph beautifully. Avoid big logos or neon colors, they can steal the spotlight. Choose 2 or 3 different colors for the whole family.
Don’t stress about the house
Your home doesn’t need to look like a magazine. A quick tidy-up in the rooms you use most is plenty. Open curtains, let in natural light, and keep anything meaningful in reach (favorite toys, books, activities). The camera won’t see any dust, I promise.
Interact naturally
It’ll only take a few moments to get used to me being there. Do what you love to do together: read a story, bake, play a game, jump on the trampoline, cuddle on the sofa, kick a ball, or go for a walk. It sounds cliché by now, but the magic stuff really is in those simple, ordinary moments.
Kids will be kids, we love that
Kids aren’t built for posing on command, and their spontaneity is a gift. The best images happen when they’re just being kids, running, exploring, inventing worlds, ignoring me... Most of the photos you see in my portfolio were taken while little ones were fully absorbed in whatever adventure they’d invented. For family shots, I’ll guide the adults more than the kids. You just be with them, hold them, follow their lead, and the moments unfold naturally.
A well-rested, well-snacked child is a happier collaborator, so a little fuel and water beforehand helps. We can absolutely take breaks, and yes, I’ll probably keep shooting through those too. Dry, non-messy snacks are ideal. Also, let them know ahead of time that a friendly photographer is coming along, so it’s not a surprise.
Keep some simple activities ready
Having one or two things in your back pocket (like drawing, Legos, baking, favorite board game, or even a pillow fight) can create natural connection and variety.
Please arrive on time or be ready to start on time. Remember, your session is scheduled according to light. Please plan for traffic or parking constraints. It's best to arrive early.
YOUR NEWBORN PORTRAIT SESSION
Your Custom Newborn Portrait Session
I’m so looking forward to meeting your little one. Newborn sessions happen in the comfort of your home. My approach is lifestyle/documentary. I’m here to beautifully photograph this fleeting moment with my particular sensitivity, not to stage something that doesn’t feel like you. I don’t use props, but if there are some elements you want to highlight, please let me know.
Day of the Session
When I arrive, I’ll take a few minutes to wander through your home and find the pockets of natural light that will give us beautiful images, I like to use the couch, the master bedroom, a window-lit corner, or the nursery.
And please, truly, don’t stress about tidying. You just had a baby, I know what that’s like. We can clear a small area together if we need to.
Your Baby
Your newborn is perfect exactly as they are. Wide awake, sleepy, stretchy, noisy, all of it is welcome. I don’t pose babies in unnatural positions. We let them lead.
For clothing, a simple, snug onesie works well to start. I may capture a few images with baby wrapped or partially undressed too, depending on how they’re feeling. If you have a few favorite swaddles, keep them handy.
Feeding about 10–15 minutes before I arrive helps everyone settle in, but if they need another top-up mid-session, that’s completely normal. Newborn sessions take the time they take. We follow your baby’s rhythm.
Siblings
If there are older siblings, I keep things light and simple. This is a big moment for them, and their energy can be unpredictable, totally normal.
We’ll usually start with family and sibling photos while they’re still curious about me. After that, they can take a break, play, or wander off, and I’ll continue with baby. No pressure. Let them know beforehand that a friendly photographer is coming over, to avoid surprises.
Mom & Dad
You’re probably feeling everything at once: joy & exhaustion, wonder & big emotions. I’m not here to gloss over that, I’m here to show how beautiful this very real season is. You don’t need to “perform” or hide the tiredness. You just get to be yourselves with your new baby.
What to Wear
Neutrals and comfort photograph beautifully, especially with newborns. Soft tones, cozy textures, nothing too loud or distracting. The goal is for the focus to stay on your connection. If you want help choosing outfits, I’m happy to talk through options.
Feel free to email with any questions you might have. Thank you and I look forward to capturing you soon!
YOUR MATERNITY SESSION
Pregnancy holds multitudes. It’s joyful and overwhelming, wondrous and often challenging. An incredibly unique time of your life. What I know from experience is these weeks pass faster than they feel, and photographing them is something no one ever regrets. Now that your maternity session is on the books, you might be wondering what to expect. Consider this your little guide to feeling prepared and at ease.
My work is rooted in authenticity. I’m here to honour your body exactly as it is right now and to capture the connections between you and the small soul you’re carrying. We’ll also celebrate your family as it is today, whether that’s two, three, or a bustling little crew. Showing what your family looks like before the new member arrives is priceless.
Location
We’ll pick a place that feels right. Many women choose an outdoor space in nature, but your home can be just as meaningful and intimate. There’s no wrong choice, just whatever feels right for this season of your life.
Who’s included
Your maternity session is for you, your partner, your children if you have them, and pets are welcome too. If little ones are joining us, don’t stress about them being wiggly, shy, loud, or silly. I work with kids all the time; their energy is part of the story.
Wardrobe
My only rule: feel beautiful and comfortable. Long dresses often move well and flatter naturally, but you should wear whatever makes you feel like your best self. I’m always happy to talk through ideas with you.
If anything else pops into your mind before your session, reach out. I’m here, and I can’t wait to photograph this extraordinary chapter of your life.
